406s Chainplate Headsail Reefing System

The smallest of the Plastimo jib reefing systems, the 406s, is designed for boats 4mtr to 6mtr (20ft), the 406s headsail reefing meets the needs for smaller yachts and trailer sailors is very easy to use and virtually maintenance free.

The Plastimo 406s is supplied as a kit and with a few basic tools is suitable for DIY installation, require no unstepping of the mast, the inner PVC liner is clipped onto the forestay and the aluminium spar slides easily over the PVC liner with the furling drum fitted last and connected to the stemhead fitting by means of the chain plates.

Plastimo 406s : for boats from 4 to 6 m - 14 to 20 ft.

Forestay ø 4-7 mm /Max. headsail size 12 m²

The 406s features all the advantages of a large headsail reefing system : Delrin twin ball bearing races in both drum and halyard swivel. All components are manufactured from polyarylamide.

Image shows Chainplate mounting with a 5 hole attachment, if your forestay is attached to the stemhead fitting, this 406 Chainplate version is what's needed.
