The Ecodry is a desiccant dehumidifier and as such has no harmful gases and no compressor making this compact machine highly efficient and economic and crucially lightweight. Simple to operate with a clear display and capable of continuous operation (ideal for boats winter lay up) and the auto restart ensures the dehumidifier comes back on with the last settings in the event of power outage.

"This seems a good value desiccant dehumidifier. Although it states that it will reset if power is interrupted, it is not recommended as it shortens the life of the machine. It is not for use on a timer then. I use it on a RH of 45%, which is enough to avoid mould and it works automatically. You do need the drain hose connected as the tank is small. The tube is easy to fit, but leave the tank in or the stopper drops down. Open up the hose slightly with a spoon handle to fit. The unit must be on a flat surface or the drain tube is bypassed in to the tank a bit. So even with the tube in, you do need to check the tank periodically. On the whole a good unit and excellent value."
