Plastimo 609s Turnbuckle Headsail Reefing System

The Plastimo jib reefing system stems from 40 years of expertise in high-pressure injection and composite materials engineering.

Designed for 6 to 9 metre boats, the 609s headsail reefing meets the needs for small to medium sized yachts. Very easy to use and virtually maintenance free, the Plastimo jib reefing is an additional reliable crew member which will enhance your sailing experience.

The Plastimo jib reefing systems are supplied as a kit, suitable for DIY installation and require no unstepping of the mast.

The inner PVC liner is clipped onto the forestay and the aluminum spar slides easily over the PVC liner. The risk of tearing sails at junctions is therefore much reduced.

The 609 S features all the advantages of a large headsail reefing system:

• Delrin twin ball bearing races in both drum and halyard swivel.
•  All components are manufactured from polyarylamide.
• Turnbuckle version

• Plastimo 609s : for boats from 6 to 9 mtr (20 to 30 ft)
• Max. headsail size 25 m²
• Forestay Dia: 4-7 mm
• Supplied for forestay length: 9.55mtr (additional spar kit available to increase length)
• Drum Sheet Capacity: 13mtr x 7mm dia.

If you have a bottle screw/ rigging screw tensioner on your forestay, then you will need this version to allow adjustment.
