This has been the most popular hand bearing compass for a number of years now, it's an outstanding handbearing compass which is very well designed to sit neatly in the hand and its armoured casing means you'll have to go some way to damage this marine compass.
Even though the casing may look hard, it isn't - it feels soft in the hand and won't slip when wet and where there might be fading light or darkness, there's built in photoluminescent lighting to help you view the digits with ease.
The card has one-degree graduations. A prism projects the reading of the bearing to infinity. This also makes for easy reading of the card, as you do not need to alternate close-reading to read the card and infinite-reading to take bearings.
