Plastimo 406s Turnbuckle Headsail Reefing System

The smallest of the Plastimo jib reefing system range, the 406s, is designed for boats 4mtr to 6mtr (20ft), the 406s headsail reefing meets the needs for smaller yachts and trailer sailors is very easy to use and virtually maintenance free.

The Plastimo 406s is supplied as a kit and with a few basic tools is suitable for DIY installation, require no unstepping of the mast, the inner PVC liner is clipped onto the forestay and the aluminium spar slides easily over the PVC liner with the furling drum fitted last and connected to the stemhead fitting by means of the chain plates.

• Supplied for forestay length: 6.45mtr (additional spar kit available to increase length)
• Drum Sheet Capacity: 7mtr x 5mm dia.

The 406s features all the advantages of a large headsail reefing system : Delrin twin ball bearing races in both drum and halyard swivel. All components are manufactured from polyarylamide.

Image shows Chainplate mounting with 5 hole attachment, if you have a bottle screw/rigging screw tensioner on your forestay you will reuire this version and this is supplied with a longer 11 hole attachment and room to accomodate the tensioner.
